1 Thessalonians 5:5 We are the children of light and day

For you are all children of the light and of the day; we don’t belong to darkness and night.

1 Thessalonians 5:5

In the book of first Thessalonians chapter 5 verse 5, Saint Paul focuses on two things. Firstly, he is assuring us that we are the children of light. Our Lord and Savior Lord Jesus Christ said "I am the light of the world". It therefore assures us that we are the children of the Almighty God.

Secondly, Saint Paul assures that we who has been born-again does not belong to darkness. Night cannot make a stronghold on us because a day is coming in our life.

We may seem to stay in night, engulfed by darkness, but a new day is coming, the light will clear the darkness. The light will clear the darkness of sickness, doubt, self pitty, unbelief, hatred, sin, which are ruining our spirit. Therefore stay in the light by reading and meditating the Word of God, syrong belief in God, praising God throughout our day & night, praying for one another, trusting God for His goodness and protection.
